Day 4 -Grande Prairie

Innisfail, Ab. to Grand Prairie, Ab. Another day of grinding out the miles. We did 402 miles or 648 km for you metric folks. We are sitting in the RV Park called Country Roads, a quarter section out in the farm country outside of town. We have a nice grassy tent area all to ourselves. We could have rented a TP but it would have been $20 each. Wireless throughout the RV park for free but the showers take a loonie. I'm typing with hungry mosquitoes all around the keyboard. 7% DEET helps but I don't have any on my hands. It is threatening rain tonight. We had canned goods in camp for dinner.
We rode through a couple of rain showers today but nothing serious. It was about 10 - 15 degrees cooler today. May have to put the liner in the jacket tomorrow. Dawson Creek is about 150 km up the road, just into BC. That is the official start to the Alaska-Canadian Highway (Alcan). We will stop and get the compulsory photo.

  1. Plenty of hungry mosquitos right here at home too. As bad as I've ever seen it. Sounds like a grind, but you have a handle on range- no comments about gas today!

  2. We have been watching Long Way Round so I have been thinking about you! Hopefully you don't get any mud bogs or anything you have to go through! Love you!
